Aim to make work authority more transparent
Ramsey Commissioners have launched a new website this month, to make information more open and accessible for ratepayers.
With a new design and homepage, the site has been optimised for mobile phones and tablets, with a view to making it easier to use.
Chairman of the local authority Andy Cowie says the project was managed internally and was 'good value', falling below the figure budgeted.
He adds the board is supportive of any moves to make the work of the Commission more transparent.
The chairman hasn't ruled out including more services online in future, for areas such as housing and planning.
Local Democracy Reporter Ewan Gawne asked him to explain what pushed the creation of a new website.
