15-year-old Lola Tebay gets trophy for efforts in history
A Ramsey Grammar School student has received the Hector Duff, Spirit of Normandy Trophy after excelling in her history classes.
15-year-old Lola Tebay impressed teachers with her performance in class, including an essay on aviation pioneer and suffragette Lady Lucy Houston.
She received the prize in person from Hector Duff, who turns 101 later this week (Oct 15).
Lola was invited to the world war two veteran's house to be presented with the trophy, along with her mum, Louise Tebay, teachers Annette Baker and Andrew Wilkinson.
