Barrie Johnson is attempting to raise £5,000 for Hospice Isle of Man
A Ramsey resident is hoping to raise £5,000 for Hospice Isle of Man later this month by swimming 5km.
Barrie Johnson will attempt 200 lengths of Ramsey Swimming Pool in memory of his late wife, Muriel.

The challenge will take place on 28 October, which will mark his 80th birthday.
So far, he has raised just over £4,000.
