It happened just off Blue Point in Andreas
Ramsey Coastguard assisted a kayaker in difficulty off Blue Point in Andreas.
The team, which had just completed a training session in Maughold yesterday (11 August), was called to reports of a swimmer and the kayak in need of help.
While the swimmer managed to get to the shore safely, the vessel was being pushed further out to sea by the offshore wind resulting in the coastguard calling in the Ramsey RNLI team for recovery.
"We think it's inhumane the way he was treated."
