Aim to improve services for the north
The Social Security office at Cummal Mooar in Ramsey, is being moved to the town hall at Parliament Square later this month.
The aim is to open at the new site on Tuesday, 21 January, with the office at Cummal Mooar due to close the Thursday before that (16 January).
The opening hours are staying the same – 9.15am to 1pm and 1.45pm to 4.30pm.
Job Centre services have been based at the town hall since August.
It's hoped, therefore, the latest move will result in a better service for people in the north of the Island, and will allow closer working with other existing local services in Ramsey.
One of the town's MHK's, Dr Alex Allinson, says he sees this as a sensible move, but adds he and his Ramsey colleague Lawrie Hooper want to know if it causes any problems for anyone.
