Commissioners would become seventh local authority partner
Ramsey Commissioners have voted unanimously to apply to become a UNESCO Biosphere Isle of Man partner.
If accepted the commissioners will become the seventh local authority to join the scheme.
'Partners' are supposed to abide by a pledge which includes protecting natural resources and 'supporting and promoting' the Island's cultural heritage.
Some members were unsure of the benefit that it would give the commissioners and the impact it would have on ratepayers.
