The decision by the home affairs minister to look again at Sarah's Law is being welcomed by campaigners who want it to be introduced in the Isle of Man.
At the July Tynwald, they handed Adrian Earnshaw a petition calling for the measure, which allows parents to see if anyone convicted of a sex offence has access to their children.
Mr Earnshaw, who had previously rejected the idea, has since had talks with campaign organisers, and has invited them to join the police, prison and probation services, along with Victim Support, on a new group which is assessing the pros and cons of bringing it in.
