The Isle of Man's Public Health Director has given his absolute assurances about the safety of a new brand of cervical cancer jab.
Dr Parameshwaran Kishore is responding to concerns raised on local forums about the decision to switch the type of vaccine offered to girls.
Until now Cervarix has been used, this will soon be replaced by Gardasil because it offers protection from genital warts as well as cervical cancer.
Claims have been made about the vaccine causing severe side effects in some people.
But Dr Kishore says he is content that it is absolutely safe.
