Spokesperson tells Manx Radio 'next steps' are being determined
The Department of Education, Sport and Culture has received a report into issues at the NSC which it says 'requires further analysis' before action can be taken.
Multiple lanes in the main swimming pool have been shut 'on safety grounds' due to broken tiles.
Manx Radio understands that the extent of the damage is worsening, and the pool may need to be shut for around six weeks for repair work to be undertaken.
Last month, former Education Minister Julie Edge told the House of Keys her department was awaiting the outcome of a survey undertaken in November.
A spokesperson has now confirmed to Manx Radio this report has been received and 'next steps' are being determined.
The DESC spokesperson said: "The department has received a report with recommendations which require further analysis before next steps are determined.
"Any changes required to the opening times of the swimming pool will be advertised in due course on the NSC’s social media page."
