The Isle of Man's first large scale kerbside recycling scheme swung into operation this morning.
Collections of newspapers, magazines, glass bottles and jars, and food and drink cans were made at houses in Onchan.
Fifteen thousand homes are taking part in the scheme, in the Douglas, Braddan and Onchan local authority areas.
