Basking Shark season is back
Basking Sharks are back.
The giant fish are seen in Manx waters every summer, and sightings usually start around mid-May.
A public sighting scheme was set up in 2004 by Jackie and Graham Hall who for have been satellite tagging some sharks every year since 2007.
Graham says the information provided by the tagging scheme has provided invaluable information on their movements which has started to show a pattern in their migration. Any sightings can be reported on manxbaskingsharkwatch.org
He says such information is vital for their future welbeing.
