The Isle of Man Water and Sewerage Authority is to ask members of the public for their views on using reservoirs for recreation.
At the end of this month, it will launch a consultation process on making use of the Island's water stores, before it develops a policy.
The Authority says it will carefully consider views to balance them against a need to protect water resources and public health.
The consultation will begin on Monday, October 31 and views have to be in by Friday, December 9.
