Manx Utilities' data shows all four main supply reservoirs are full
Despite the prolonged period of hot, dry weather all the Island's reservoirs are showing no signs of water depletion.
The latest data from Manx Utilities shows all four of the main supply reservoirs at West Baldwin, Sulby, Clypse and Kerrowdhoo to be 100 percent full.
This compares with the daily average for the time of year of 83 percent
Earlier this year Manx Utilities said it was confident that the introduction of water restrictions could be avoided this summer and the latest information regarding stocks in the main reservoirs suggests they're good to their word.
The situation was no doubt helped by a particularly wet Spring period.
Despite the encouraging data the message is that water is a precious commodity that should be used wisely.
