Transport Minister David Anderson is warning motorists they must respect the authority of school crossing patrols.
It follows a number of recent incidents in which drivers have ignored instructions given by lollipop men and women.
The Island's road safety officer has already expressed disappointment at the lack of consideration and now Mr Anderson is reminding road users it's a serious offence which could lead to criminal charges (audio file attached):
