Fund to be set up in Billy Redmayne's memory
Racing star Billy Redmayne will take a final lap of the TT course next month, escorted by wellwishers.
The 25-year-old rider from Laxey died at Scarborough’s Oliver’s Mount circuit during racing earlier this month.
His funeral will take place on Friday, May 13 starting with a lap of the course that will leave the grandstand at midday.
There’s a service for family and friends at Douglas Crematorium at 2pm, when he’ll receive a military funeral, followed by a gathering in the Villa Marina for wellwishers.
Billy's family say they’ll be setting up the Billy Redmayne Memorial fund to help other charities and people in need, and are asking for donations to be made to the fund in lieu of flowers.
