A road in Onchan was closed at lunchtime today (Monday), for emergency repairs to a gas leak.
Blackberry Lane has been closed from the Summer Hill end while Manx Gas engineers get to work.
There is access from Governor's Road, but that may also be restricted when the extent of the problem becomes clear.
The Summerhill junction with Blackberry Lane will remain closed until further notice, although the repairs are expected to take no more than three days.
Manx Gas is apologising for any inconvenience.
