There has been a serious accident near the top of Ballaquayle Road, Douglas.
It happened during this evening's rush hour, between the junctions with Woodbourne Road and St Ninian's crossroads.
Police immediately closed the stretch of road involved, and were advising motorists to take an alternative route.
No further information has been released.
