Organisers of street parties to celebrate the royal wedding in April are being offered help to get through red tape.
The Department of Infrastructure says party planners won't have to pay for road closure notices in the local press.
The government will also foot the bill for public liability insurance taken out by communities holding parties on the big day.
The offer doesn't apply to other community events around the Island, but director of highways Richard Pearson admits applicants for road closures would usually have to pay (play audio file):
