The name of the 38-year-old woman killed in a road accident on the New Castletown Road yesterday morning is expected to be released this afternoon.
Police are appealing for witnesses after an incident, near the Hop Garden pub in Santon just before 6am.
Anybody who was in the area between 5.30 and 6.15am yesterday is asked to ring Police Headquarters on 631212.
Police would also like to hear from any road users whose normal route to work takes them through the Mount Murray dip around those times.
Meanwhile, a resident at Mount Murray has described the tragedy as 'an accident waiting to happen'.
