New regulations are due to go before Tynwald a week on Tuesday making changes to the way the driving test works.
The changes will see an expanded theory test for learners in addition to the computerised test that’ll spot how quickly candidates react to hazards. Driving instructors will now be included in the regulations and will need to sit the test before they can teach.
The plan is to have the tests administered by the Department of Education and Children, and the amended tests will come into force on April 1.
