New opportunity to comment on scheme
The infrastructure minister says there is no desparate need for a major road scheme in the north of the Island.
Ray Harmer has been speaking after it was announced the project on Lezayre Road in Ramsey was being postponed for a further 12 months.
It had originally been due to start in September 2016, was put off until this June, and will now start in June next year, after the TT.
Mr Harmer says the extra time will allow for further consultation, to make sure things are done in the best way possible for those affected by the road closures which will be required:

RNLI's last serving Mersey class boat visits the Island
Double victory for Island's heritage railways
