Group scoop four awards at Easter One Act Plays Festival
Local theatre group The Rushen Players are off to perform at a national drama festival this weekend (July 20) after an award-winning performance of Cream Cracker Under the Sofa.
At this year's Easter One Act Play Festival, the group won best play, best actress, best comedic performance and a special adjudicators award with the Alan Bennett classic.
It also secured them an invite to perform at the All British Winners National Festival in Woking this weekend (18 July).
Director Adrienne Sanderson says the invite was completely unexpected:
