Abusive language used towards staff
A Rushen resident has been banned from the civic amenity site in the south of the Isle of Man for verbally abusing staff.
The board of the Southern Recycling Centre says it's the first time such a banning order has been issued.
It's in place for six months.
A statement from the board says the incident was taken to the attorney general, who decided the ban was more appropriate than prosecution.
Chairman Jerry Ludford-Brooks says members have a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of abuse of their staff, and have taken action to support them.
He hopes publicising the action will be a deterrent to others.
