'Gripping' new book from Mike the Bike manager
The man who brought Mike Hailwood back to the Isle of Man to race in 1978, has brought his focus to bear on another man who has a claim to being the best TT rider ever.
No other rider has won five races in a week at TT.
Ian Hutchinson has - and after he battled through an appalling injury, he came back to win again in 2010.
His story has been told by Ted Macauley, a close friend of Mike the Bike. It was Ted Mike rang, in the late 1970s to say: "you organise it, and I will come back to the island to race."
The rest is history.
A new autobiography co-authored by Ted and Ian, Hutchy: Miracle Man is now in Manx book shops.
Visiting the Island to promote the book, Ted recalled a poignant anecdote about the last time he was in the Island, after Mike was tragically killed in a road accident:
