At the weekend the charity, often a lifeline for people in need of support who feel they have no-one else to talk to, celebrated their national awareness day. (Sun 24)
Called simply 24:7, the title marks the fact that the charity provides a round the clock service.
Volunteer Sylvia says the work with the charity has changed over the years from being a purely telephone based service - but the dedication required to be volunteer remains the same.
