As the Scots head towards a referendum that could see them break the ties with England, the Manx cross -border relationship appears to be blossoming.
Scottish First Minister Alex Salmond added his weight to the discussions that has now resulted in the opening of an air bridge with Glasgow in 2014.
CityWing are to fly nine times a week to the Island from the Scottish city.
