To complete some outstanding works including drainage improvement
A section of the Mountain Road is to shut tonight, an hour and a half after the route reopens later.
The stretch between the Ramsey Hairpin and the Creg-Ny-Baa is closing daily until Friday from 9am to 5pm for stone wall repairs and preparations ahead of the Manx Grand Prix.
But the Department of Infrastructure has now confirmed the road between the Creg Ny Baa and the junction with the Beinn Y Phott Road at Brandywell will re-close at 6.30pm.
That second closure will remain in place until no later than 9pm.
It is required to complete some outstanding works including drainage improvement works near the 32nd Milestone.
The route from Ramsey up to and including the Brandywell junction will remain open.
