
Police are warning people to plan their weekend carefully with the threat of more severe gales on the way.
The Met Office at Ronaldsway Airport says gusts of up to 70mph are expected on Saturday, strong enough to cause some damage.
With gale force nine winds predicted, officers say people should plan their journeys in good time.
They also say if you’re out partying to celebrate Christmas this weekend, you should remember to book a taxi home.
