Festival celebrates living Celtic culture
The 22nd instalment of the annual Shennaghys Jiu festival kicks off this evening (Thurs 4).
'Tradition today' in English, the event is "a chance for young people to play music, dance, and share culture with other Celtic countries".
Juan Garrett is one of the founding members, and has been involved with the organisation of the festival since its inception in 1998.
Appearing on Moghrey Jedoonee, he said it plays an important part in preserving a sense of place.
