The closure of the Grosvenor pub in Andreas could prove a boon for members of the local football club.
Ayre United's clubhouse now has the only licenced bar in the area and they are throwing open their doors to the community
For a nominal membership fee, drinkers in Andreas will be able to enjoy a friendly pub atmosphere over the festive period.
It was all hands to the pumps last year as well, when players and supporters volunteered to man the bar during the Grosvenor's previous closure.
