Chiming will begin at 7pm tonight (18)
As church bells ring across the UK in solidarity with France this evening, at least one Island church will be taking part.
St George's Church in Douglas will begin chiming at 7 o'clock tonight for seven minutes, as a mark of respect for Notre Dame in Paris.
The building in the heart of the Island's capital claims to have the only traditional set of 12 English change ringing bells on Manx shores, and members of the public are encouraged to come along and listen.
Tower Captain Ernie de Legh-Runciman has also taken the opportunity to invite new ringers to get in touch, if they're interested in learning more.
Earlier today, local architect Tony Pass reflected on the events in Paris.
