Chief minister says infection rate in UK is still too high
The Island's border policy will remain at stage four, despite changes announced to quarantine rules for returning residents.
Chief Minister Howard Quayle announced an easing of restrictions at a 'one off' media conference this afternoon (3 September).
It means anyone arriving back on the Isle of Man can book in and pay for, a Covid-19 test - which if it comes back negative will end the self isolation after seven days instead of 14.
Mr Quayle though says there will still be restrictions in place:
Mountain Road to stay closed overnight
BMA finds less than a quarter of doctors recommend working at Manx Care
Thirteen people entered or tried to enter the Island without immigration permission since January 2025
Abuse towards bus drivers 'will not be tolerated'
