Company says it has clear Covid policies on ferry
The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company says it has “clear policies in place for its crew to prevent Covid-19 spread” on-board the Ben-my-Chree.
It follows a question put by Manx Radio at the latest government media briefing.
The station has been contacted by a couple of members of crew who expressed concern about Manx and UK staff mixing on-board, with Manx crew worried about potentially taking the virus home.

"The Steam Packet has clear policies in place for its crew to prevent Covid spread, which are perhaps best illustrated by the fact there’s been no on-board outbreaks since the start of the pandemic last year. Those public health guidelines are designed to prevent the spread of Coronavirus on both its vessels and at its ports."
