Former Glenside site could be developed
Social care chiefs say a new residential home for older people planned in Douglas will provide facilities the Island's growing elderly population deserve.
If planning permission is granted, a 60 bed home, including a dementia unit and day care facilities, will be built on the site of the former Glenside Resource Centre on the corner of Glencrutchery and Victoria roads.
It would replace two existing facilities in the capital - Reayrt ny Baie on Albert Terrace, and the dementia unit at Thie Meanagh in Farmhill.
