Douglas and Ramsey promenades battered last week
More than £200,000 will need to be spent to repair the damage caused by Storm Emma after it battered the Island last Friday.
That's according to Infrastructure Minister Ray Harmer, after officials from his department assessed the destruction of parts of both Douglas and Ramsey promenades suffered in the fierce winds.
Damage in the capital will cost £30,000 to repair, whilst in the Northern town, it's estimated £180,000 will be needed to reconstruct parts of the promenade.
Mr Harmer says the elements aligned to wreck havoc along Island seafronts, and re-building will be costly:
