Government says it doesn't want a 'fanfare' and then 'nothing happens'
As many as 1,000 additional homes could be created by the end of 2026.
It follows the announcement of new plans to regenerate brownfield sites on the Island.
Up to 25 percent of eligible costs have been approved in principle for the three proposals - one of which could see 80,000 square feet of commercial, retail, leisure and hotel space in Douglas.
