Old uniforms washed then offered to others for free
Students at Ballakermeen High School are doing their bit to help those in need of uniform.
Tutor group 9HS5 has come up with the idea of the Uniform Swap Shop.
At the end of last term a 'uniform box' was placed in the school library where young people could drop off school clothes that no longer fitted them.
The tutor group then washed and categorised the clothing and is now making the 'good-as-new' attire available to anyone who needs it for the new school year.
The Uniform Swap Shop is open every Wednesday during the summer holidays from 9am-3pm in the Ballakermeen Seating Area.
It works under a 'take what you need' basis - no questions are asked and no financial donations are necessary.
Information, including lists of what clothing and sizes are available, can be found on the Ballakermeen Facebook page.
