Summerhill Glen has been declared completely safe, following concerns over some minor structural defects, and full public access has been restored.
The defects were identified in sections of the wall at the bottom of the glen, during a routine inspection earlier this year.
That led to a partial closure, between Victoria Road and Summerhill Road, and the commissioning by the Borough Council of an independent report by structural engineers.
The report has confirmed the condition of the wall poses no risk to public safety.
Restoration work on the structure will continue, and all the restrictions on access have been removed.
