Businesses are struggling to win back customers following years of disruption on Douglas Promenade.
That's the view of a Douglas East MHK who believes people now actively avoid the area after years of delayed redevelopment work.
Clare Barber says the ongoing project has been 'exceptionally hard'.
She told Manx Radio she doesn't believe the support for the local economy went far enough:
