Warning about debris and fallen trees
The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture has issued a warning to members of the public, who wish to visit the Island's glens and forests this weekend.
You're advised to take extra care if doing so - and whilst the department says woodlands are seen as 'sheltered retreats' on windy days, it's reminding visitors to be aware of the real possibility of falling branches or unstable trees, following the recent very wet and windy weather.
The public are also asked to report fallen trees or other obstructions on DEFA land to its directorate on 695 701.
