18-year-old told police he thought he'd struck his sister
A teenager from Andreas will be sentenced next year after fracturing someone’s cheekbone during a disagreement outside a nightclub.
Oliver Royston Proctor, of Kiondroghad Road, pleaded guilty to assaulting the man and causing grievous bodily harm during an appearance at Douglas Courthouse.
The 18-year-old punched him outside 1886 on Regent Street, just before midnight on 12 November, because he believed the man had struck his sister whilst inside the venue.
Proctor will be sentenced at the Court of General Gaol Delivery; bail was granted until his first appearance before that court on 5 January.
