Work comes in under budget
An upgrade to the secure communications system used by the Island's emergency services and beyond has been completed.
It's been done on time and under budget, according to the Department of Home Affairs.
There was much debate about the new TETRA system in Tynwald last year, with some members questioning whether it was necessary to spend the £5 million originally requested by the DHA.
Chris Thomas MHK is member with responsibility for the Communications Division.
He says the expense, £1 million less than the original budget, is justified:
