Minister Malarkey 'hopeful' it will be extended
The Interim Chief Executive Officer of the Department of Home Affairs says as things stand, his contract will expire at the end of this month.
Dan Davies was one of four representatives of the department to appear before Tynwald's Social Affairs Policy Review Committee this week.
Martyn Perkins MHK, who sits on the panel, said: "looking back at last year's meeting, I noticed that you were just the interim CEO."
He then asked Mr Davies if he had now been "fully appointed":
However, Home Affairs Minister Bill Malarkey later confirmed to the panel he's 'hopeful' the contract will be extended once more:
