
An internet sleuth from Laxey is in the space media spotlight after correctly identifying China's first woman astronaut.
Tony Quine predicted 24 year-old fighter pilot Liu Yang was among six so-called taikonauts in contention for China's first manned docking mission last week.
It was a crucial step in China's project to build its own space station by 2020.
Tony discovered Liu's name through investigative online research, which began when he spotted signatures on a philatelic issue bearing the taikonauts' pictures.
Since the launch last week, he's been contacted by international media curious to know how he did it.
