Three people have come forward to contest the vacant Legislative Council seat.
They are George Waft and Alan Crowe, who previously sat on LegCo, and John Skinner.
Mr Skinner, a retired firefighter, entered the race for one round at the previous election, when Dudley Butt and Alex Downie were re-elected and Phil Braidwood was elevated from the House of Keys.
No date has been set for this ballot as-yet.
