"Back to basics" approach needed
The Infrastructure Minister says he'd like to see work on Douglas promenade started "sooner rather than later".
Ray Harmer - who was appointed to the role on Monday (10th October) - claims regeneration is a "key priority" for his Department, and he's keen to begin discussions with civil engineers and interested parties as soon as possible.
His predecessor Phil Gawne had previously hoped work could start as early as this year - but a series of concerns, objections and setbacks have since seen plans kicked into the political long grass.
