Tributes have been paid to a former stalwart of the Isle of Man's legal and political scenes, who died yesterday at the age of 94.
Arthur Luft had practiced law here since the 1940s, was attorney general and second deemster in the 1970s and first deemster between 1980 and 1988.
Following his retirement he became an MLC and served Tynwald for ten years.
Chief Minister Tony Brown says he knew Mr Luft well and thought very highly of him:

Rapist who 'terrorised' his victim told his sentence was 'entirely justified'
Complaints process for health system changed
