A former member of Rushen Silver Band will be remembered when the band continues its 60th anniversary celebrations this weekend.
Alistair Drinkwater was 15 when he died of cancer, after which a fund was set up in his memory.
Saturday evening's gala concert is being paid for by the Alistair Drinkwater Memorial Fund and proceeds will be donated to the Isle of Man Anti-Cancer Association.
Castle Rushen High School will be the venue and the man with the baton will be Richard Evans, associate musical director with the famous Brighouse and Rastrick Band.
It will also feature as guest soloist Owen Farr, the principal tenor horn from the reigning world champions, the Cory Band.
