TT star Ryan Farquhar is calling for more tarmac to replace areas of grass in the paddock at the back of the Grandstand.
During Grand Prix fortnight, heavy rain has turned many of the parts where competitors are living and working into deep mud.
For a number of years, Farquhar has spurned the chance to be based with all the other top TT names nearest to the start line, in preference for some hard-standing.
He says the problems of the past two weeks must not be allowed to happen again:
Funding of government services 'not sustainable'
Manx Care undertaking 'comprehensive validation' of ENT waiting lists
Taxi fares on the Island to rise
Surgeon announces he's standing in General Election
Bus Vannin warns of services at risk this evening
