PAC to pose issues raised by taxpayer
The Treasury minister and his most senior officer will face questions on this year's budget put forward by members of the public this afternoon (6 March).
A special sitting of the Public Accounts Committee will see Alf Cannan and Chief Financial Officer Sheila Lowe field pre-submitted budget queries from taxpayers for the first time.
Eighteen questions have been posed by six members of the public.
As some cover the same ground, the committee will incorporate the topics raised in their questions to the Treasury pair, rather than read them verbatim.
The hearing is in the Legislative Council chamber on Bucks Road at 2pm.
All are welcome to attend, and it's being streamed online via tynwald.org.im.
